Online Hold em tournaments variety is really vast. The most poppular tournaments around in poker rooms are freerolls online , sit & go and multi table tournaments(MTT).
Once a player sits down at the table and the tournament begins player has to play until he wins or is eliminated. All the players at the table start with an equal number of chips. All players have to pay equal buy-in money unless it is a freeroll tournament.
There are always one or more prizes that players can win at the end of the tournament. Tournament becomes to the end when only one player is remaining - the winner of the first prize. All prizes are transferred to the winner's account at the end of the tournament.
